Goin’ Fishin’…

Due to lots of Circumstances (how, how HOW does one get water in one’s basement on the hottest day of the year? Honestly, I am a remarkable person to whom remarkable things apparently happen – one of the contractors we spoke to about this said, carefully, “You have a very… unusual… problem…” – count the $$$ piling up on the horizon…) and Other Things (attempting to break the very stubborn hedge of nasty evil snaggy thorns around the New Novel Project – I know what I WANT to write, what comes out is consistently a pale shadow of that which needs more light turned onto it before it makes sense…) and Travel Plans (off to Worldcon in Montreal in a handful of days…) – I am hanging up a Goin’ Fishin’ sign on this blog for the month of August. I shall return on September 5 with something that I will do my level best to ensure that it’s worth waiting for.

In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the summer – and I’ll see you back here when the leaves begin to think about turning gold. I’ve always loved that time of year. I fully expect it to continue inspiring me when it comes to writing, and even when it comes to writing about writing. See you in September.
