Alma: yep and yep and yep. You'd think the and and would be always easy. But nope. noap? heh.

S.C. yeah, it's talking myself into the notion that no one else will notice the shinies. It's not until I'm dead tired that I can believe it.

Tycho: Oh, no! 7 a.m. is just too early for nighttime sometimes! My nephew has been trying to convince me to try some of those energy drinks . . . guaranteed to keep me awake during deadline endings. Picture it. Boing! Boing! Boing!

Karen: Oh, I'm impressed. Yours are actually good ideas sometimes. I should do that too. But then again, that would require some thinking, which apparently I have little capacity for at the end of the marathon.

I always make a "to do" file, so I when I get those brilliant ideas just as I'm ready to shut down, I open the file and jot a note to myself. Sometimes they really are good ideas, but sometimes, in the cold light of the next day, they don't make any sense at all.

Despite my previous post, I think that rewriting is not a bad thing. In fact, I think it's a good thing and sometimes necessary.

I've long agreed with the definition of "tonight," though in more regular practice I often say "sleep/blue skies (or equivalent)" So basically at 7 am, it's morning even if I haven't slept, though I can so rarely make my body do that, and I am in the grand scheme of things pretty young. heh.

Also, I think that sort of dull tiredness makes it easier to cut things, which is what we need to do, but always seem to be dragging our feet on... If we're too awake it'll hurt too much.

Oh, oh, oh.

I know this animal. Particularly the all-your-words-are-spelled-wrong-don'tchaknow syndrome. Been there many a midnight, when even the simple ordinary "the" and "and" start to look suspicious, never mind the weird-ass name some fantasy character insisted on back when it seemed to be a new and interesting thing.
